Deskferry: Clipboard Sync

Local Sync & Clipboard History — free on the Mac App Store. Check both Macs run macOS 14 or later before you pair them.

Getting it from the Mac App Store

Deskferry is on the Mac App Store and the download is free. Pro and Max are in-app purchases, so what you actually pay — and whether a trial applies to your account — comes from Apple's purchase sheet rather than from us. The store is the only channel we use: this site hosts no separate installer, and any other page offering you a Deskferry installer is not ours.

What your Macs will need

macOS 14 or later, and the version on the store is 0.2.0 (13). If local clipboard history is all you want, one Mac is enough, since history is kept per Mac and never leaves it. Copying between Macs asks for more: the app on both, a local network where the two can genuinely reach each other, and both sitting in the same current group. Language is its own question — the website is published in 11 languages and the app interface in 10, so reading this in your language does not guarantee the app speaks it.

What to do on day one

Start on one Mac before you pair anything. Copy two harmless sentences, open History, search for the first of them. That confirms recording and search work with no network in the picture, which makes any later problem far easier to place. Then add the second Mac with the two-sided pairing steps, and go through the content-sharing switches before anything private crosses.

The plans page explains what the Free limits mean day to day and what an administrator's plan covers for everyone else in a group, alongside US reference prices for monthly, annual, lifetime and the eligible trial. The price and trial eligibility that actually apply to your account come from Apple's purchase sheet, not from us.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is there a direct download from this site?

No. The Mac App Store is the only place we publish Deskferry, so any other page offering a Deskferry installer is not ours. The download there is free, and Pro and Max are in-app purchases. If the store will not install it, the first thing to confirm is that the Mac is on macOS 14 or later.
