A menu-bar app for three jobs you already do by hand: getting the copy you just made onto your other Mac, dropping a Finder file into a folder over there, and digging out something you copied two hours ago.

The address is on the laptop. The field waiting for it is open on the desktop. That gap is the whole problem.

Copy on this Mac. Paste on that one.
Text, a link or an image you just copied turns up on the other Macs in your current group, ready to paste. Switch groups and the audience changes with it.

The file, already in the right folder.
Copy the file in Finder with Command-C. When the other Mac says “Received. Ready to paste.”, open your destination folder and press Command-V.
Files and videos need a Pro or Max group; folders need Max. The expanded transfer total starts at 100 MB and can be changed in the app.

WHERE TO BEGIN
One Mac is enough to begin.
Local history runs on its own, with nothing to pair. Add a second trusted Mac when you need a copy or a Finder file to cross between them over Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
See how it worksFree / Pro / Max
Every plan browses and searches all retained summaries and thumbnails on that Mac. Free opens and copies the global latest 20 records in full; Pro and Max lift that count limit, though retention and storage limits still apply.
The administrator's plan covers sync rights for the group. Personal history access belongs to each member separately and is never handed down.

Questions, answered
Do I need two Macs to get started?
No. Local history works on its own: Deskferry records what you copy on that Mac, and you can browse, search and reuse it without pairing anything at all. Add a second trusted Mac later, when you actually need a passage, an image or a Finder file to cross between them.
What do I get on the Free plan?
A Free group connects your Mac with one other Mac and syncs text and images. Every plan, Free included, can browse and search all retained history on that Mac. Free opens and copies the global latest 20 records in full, while older entries show a fixed summary or a restricted preview until you upgrade.
Can I download Deskferry today?
Yes. Version 0.2.1 is on the Mac App Store as a free download and it needs macOS 14 or later. Pro and Max are in-app purchases made inside the app. The download page has what to check before you install.
Start from a real task.
