Deskferry

Deskferry keeps the next step of your work within reach

Deskferry connects the Macs you work on and helps you reuse what you copy. Learn why the product combines local history, approved groups and Finder handoffs.

A reference on the laptop. A draft on the desktop. A finished file needed on the next Mac. Deskferry is built around the small handoffs that connect those moments.

We make a Mac application that combines clipboard sync, local history and file delivery, so finding a useful copy and continuing the task can belong to the same routine.

For people whose work uses more than one Mac

You may research on a MacBook and write on a desktop, or keep work and personal Macs under different Apple Accounts. Deskferry connects approved machines over your local network while letting each retain its existing account.

Our focus is the practical transition: select the material, copy it, and use it where the next part of the work is open. A connection should help you continue the task without reorganizing your accounts around it.

Why groups are part of the product

Being nearby is not the same as being a participant in your work. Deskferry uses invitations and administrator approval to establish which Macs belong together. The current group and connection are visible, and content controls let you decide which kinds of copies travel.

That design makes a recurring workspace explicit. You can work with the intended machines, pause sync for independent work, and change the current group when the task moves to a different setup. See how pairing works.

Why history stays useful on each Mac

Some copies matter now; others become useful again later. Deskferry keeps searchable local history so a previous passage, contact detail or file name can be found without reconstructing the whole earlier task.

Preview the record and copy it again when needed. That new copy can also follow the connected group, linking local recall to your current work. Explore clipboard history for examples.

Why actual files belong in the workflow

A project does not stop at text and pictures. When you need the document itself, Deskferry’s Finder handoff gives the receiving Mac an independent file to paste into its project folder and open.

The same application can therefore support the references used to build a draft and the finished deliverable. The file guide explains the operation and required plan.
